“Concrete Time” is a journey through the architectural and urban history of Skopje, focusing on the era of brutalism, when the city experienced its architectural and urban renaissance. Through the story of Skopje’s concrete, it tells the modern social, political and cultural history of this ancient and modern city.
Director – Igor Ivanov
Igor Ivanov is an award-winning director from Skopje with an international reputation, with documentary, short and feature films to his credit. His short film “Bugs” won the Golden Leopard at The 59. Locarno International Film Festival and was nominated for Golden Bear Award at The 54. Berlinale. His feature film “Upside Down” won The Best Director Award at Mostra De Valencia Film Festival, “The Piano Room”, with an international cast and original music score by the Canadian artist Chilly Gonzalez enjoyed sold-out screenings at many festivals.
