Building with raw earth seems to belong to ancient and faraway worlds, specifically in Switzerland where earth in the form of excavation is considered nowadays as a waste material.
Its forgotten qualities are rediscovered there with two protagonists who launched the challenging industrial production of raw earth blocks with the search of durably building the city of tomorrow from the knowledge of the past.

Aureliano Ramella born in Switzerland, he graduated at Sydney Film School (Australia) in 2013. He then pursued with architectural studies in Lausanne (Switzerland) where he has been practicing as an architect since he graduated in 2020. Alongside his work, he has kept on making documentary-film where he’s interested in exploring the stories of places.
