The neighborhoods in Ankara Castle have hosted and continue to host many class and ethnic groups. Some of them had to migrate to these neighborhoods during migration from their villages, some from their countries and, some during the blows they suffered from life. The idea that the castle still protects them may have brought these excluded groups together here.
Director – Burkay Doğan
Born in 1982 in Ankara. 2005 Anadolu University Civil Engineering graduate. At the 19th Istanbul International Short Film Festival, he received the best experimental film award, and in 2007 he was among the 9 animations in the world at Nine Nation Animation. In 2009, he won the special jury award at Adana Altın Koza Film Festival. He has produced nearly 30 short films and documentaries so far.
Director – Hüseyin Kete
Born in Tunceli in 1979. In 2000, he studied Social Anthropology at Ankara University, DTCF. For many years, he conducted field studies on seasonal agricultural workers and migrants. In 2022, his first story book was published under the title of “Ağlayan Konak”. In 2022, his short film “Kasa” was screened at Adana Altınkoza Film Festival; in 2023, his short film “Bir Çift Göz” was screened at the Workers’ Film Festival.
